HMD take existing devices in the medical field that are cumbersome and inaccurate and innovate them through research and design. Our core aim is to arm health professionals with innovative devices they need to do their jobs well and to deliver best care to patients. HALO the Digital goniometer is our inaugural launch product for 2012. It is a digital device that measures the range of motion of joints. HALO is designed to supersede the legacy mechanical device through its innovative and ergonomic design, successfully bridging a 40 year technology gap. Our product aim was to make the practise of goniometry simple, through simplicity we combat the current inaccuracies. Not only are HMD here for the professionals, HMD provide staff and students of Tertiary institutes with innovative products. HALO has commenced superseding manual devices in leading Medical Universities in Australia. Innovator
Innovator Hayley Warren realised the opportunity to take mandatory devices that are inaccurate and cumbersome and replace these with innovative, easy to use devices that would better the skill of the professional and the care to the patient. While working in Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy departments in Australia the frustration from our medical professionals became evident and prompted the development of the first of our products; HALO. Ms Warren believes that to offer a superior service to patients the professional needs to be driven by evidence based devices and literature. HALO, is a device set to change the face of goniometry.
